Introduction The primary mode of spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)—the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)—is by person-to-person contact via respiratory droplets.1 Given that most virus transmission has occurred in homes,2 we investigated whether home addresses recorded in the electronic medical record could be used to accurately estimate transmission risk and identify risk factors for transmission.
