FLINT, MI — The state has set aside up to 10 days to hear McLaren-Flint hospital’s appeal of an order issued against it by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Issued June 12, the order claims McLaren has failed to solve persistent Legionella bacteria problems at its Ballenger Road hospital and requires that it take a series of actions, including replacement of standard showers with sponge baths and installation of special filters on any showerheads or faucets intended for use.
