Each year, between 9.4 million and 49 million people in the U.S. contract the flu. That is why the CDC urges everyone 6 months of age and older to get a flu vaccine every season. In particular, this year the American Lung Association, the American Diabetes Association (ADA), and the American Heart Association (AHA) have come together to urge the 117 million adults living with chronic disease to prioritize annual flu vaccination.
